Overview
Welcome to the sixth instalment of the GYSR monthly newsletter! We have taken a couple months off using this publication due to the content we put out around our V2 launch, but we’re excited to start it up again as a way to keep our community up to speed. If you would like more general information about GYSR or are interested in getting involved, please follow our official Twitter account, join our Discord, and take a look at our website.

V2
After much anticipation, we launched GYSR V2 in mid June. This process involved a complete overhaul of everything that makes up GYSR.
-We fully redesigned and rebuilt the GYSR core architecture with a specific focus on extensibility and longevity. The staking logic and reward logic of each “Pool” are now contained within swappable building blocks, which generalizes our system.
-We added a new product or Pool type called “Fountains,” which offer different mechanics than Geysers. Fountains are a model for friendly incentivization while Geysers have a more gamified, competitive environment.
-We formally launched a holder pool where $GYSR holders can stake their tokens to earn a portion of the $GYSR that gets spent in the multiplier process across all Geysers and Fountains in our ecosystem.
-We released a new whitepaper that explores all the technical nuances of our V2 platform.
-We engaged CertiK to perform a full security audit of our new core contracts. The final report was very positive and it can be found here.
-We built a new webapp from scratch. This includes new dashboards for investors and Pool deployers, enhanced discoverability, additional statistics related to different Pools, and more.
-We launched a new website with an emphasis on making GYSR accessible. This included new copywriting, revised documentation, and new design, among other things.
-We released the first official stable version of the GYSR subgraph. This includes V2 support, multi-chain compatibility, daily pool statistics, historical transactions, and more.
Polygon Deployment
After we launched our V2 on the Ethereum mainnet, we took our first step toward taking GYSR multi-chain by launching an instance of our platform on Polygon in early July. We mapped our $GYSR token to this “layer 2” blockchain, deployed contracts there, adjusted our webapp to allow for Polygon interactions, and voila. Projects can now deploy Geysers and Fountains for less than a cent, and users can stake and unstake for almost zero fees as well. For more information on this development, please see here for the official Polygon launch post.
Pool Party
This section of our newsletter used to be called “State of the Geysers,” but with the addition of our Fountain product we’re changing the name. We want to offer updates on all the Pools deployed on our platform, including both Geysers and Fountains. Since the launch of V2, we’ve had 16 Pools launch on mainnet and 26 Pools launch on Polygon. Several projects like ARA, Vesper, and NFTHub have taken advantage of our Fountains module. The graphic below shows the growth of total Pools deployed over time:
Moving Forward
As we look toward the future, we are working on business development and various technical improvements to continue with our goal of making GYSR a high-caliber tool for building and investing on Ethereum. We look forward to sharing additional announcements soon. If anyone in our community would like to suggest ideas or give feedback on anything that we have built thus far, please feel free to reach out to us on any of our social channels.
